Contractor Vetting

Contractor vetting is TaDow's independent evaluation process designed to protect homeowners by thoroughly assessing a contractor's qualifications, reliability, and project fit before any work begins.

  • Review licenses, insurance, and credentials
  • Identify red flags before you hire
  • Online reputation analysis
  • Review past performances and references

We help to save you from expensive errors

Unlike contractor referral services, TaDow works exclusively for the homeowner, not the contractor, providing unbiased analysis and recommendations focused on protecting your investment.

FAQ

Questions About Project Management

Expert answers to help you understand how we protect your investment.

Why do I need a project manager if I already hired a contractor?

Contractors represent their own interests, not yours. TaDow acts as your independent advocate, helping you understand what to look for before you hire. Contractor licensing is state-specific, meaning a contractor licensed in one state isn't automatically authorized to work in another. Most homeowners don't know that. We help you ask the right questions, identify red flags, and make sure the person you're hiring is actually qualified and compliant in your state.

What project management options are available?

We offer three tiers of project management support: Advisory Oversight, Active Project Management, and Full Owner Representation. Pricing is structured at 5% of the total project cost, with flat-fee and hourly options available depending on your project's scope and needs.

How experienced are your experts?

Our specialists have hands-on industry experience in decking, flooring, hardscaping, and residential construction.

Can you step in if my project is already in trouble with a contractor?

Yes. Our Fix My Project (Rescue) service is designed exactly for this scenario, failing projects, delays, disputes, and situations that need expert direction and contractor mediation. We assess the situation and help you regain control.

Protect Your Renovation with Expert Oversight

From contractor vetting to final inspection, we represent you, not the contractor.
